You’ll be joining the Executive Team and Operating Board of this well known corporate client in the Financial Services sector. A broad skills set will be required, enabling you to think strategically, manage your teams operationally and "be the Suit" when reporting to the international shareholders.

The primary purpose of your role is to develop the Collections and Recoveries Management Strategies and robust operating models to ensure that Collection and Recovery performance is optimised with NPLs and bad debts remaining within budget.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that outsourced providers and partners deliver in line with agreed service levels and the Company’s standards and policies.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure Collection reductions, NPLs and Bad Debt performances are minimised within set targets and risk appetite

·         Develop Collection strategies and practices to ensure performance targets are achieved

·         Ensure operations processes, systems and tools are optimised and consistently deliver to support the call centre and customers in a cost efficient and convenient manner

·         Participate in Collections and Recovery forecasting and budgets and manage actual performance in line with budgeted expectations

·         Provide strategic and best practice thought leadership in order to enhance competitive advantage

·         Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable the company to meet its strategic objectives

·         Lead direct reports and their teams to ensure optimal performance, engagement and succession



Duties

 Requirements and Competencies:

·         A relevant Bachelors’ Degree or higher

·         10 years’ experience at Senior Management or Executive level within Collections and Recoveries operations environment

·         Experience in Financial Services and/or retail credit environment

·         Experience in developing and operationalising Collections and EDC strategies

·         Experience in the operational management of an inbound and outbound call centre

·         Business acumen

·         Strong leader

·         Numeric and analytical skills

·         Financial management and the understanding of profit/loss – particularly the cost of risk

·         Excellent understanding of Collections, Recoveries and Fraud at both operations and strategic level

·         Strong awareness of the control environment within Financial Services

·         Systems thinking

·         Strong presentation skills (written, verbal and presentation-related)
