About this job

Our client, a market leader in the Energy sector is looking to hire an IT Manager. The ideal candidate will be one who has operational management experience, understands business requirements, workflows and processes and is an excellent communicator.

The role will entail the following responsibilities:

·         Supervising and managing the operational team and providing guidance.

·         Managing the relationships with external providers and ensuring SLA agreements are adhered to and that performance requirements are met. This covers core IT service providers - End to End Managed Service Providers, Internet, Network and VOIP providers and ERP, financial systems and public websites

·         Problem solving and finding sustainable solutions.

·         Managing projects and driving processes.

·         Implementing new systems.

·         Maintaining continuity and security of all IT Services through proactive planning, technical leadership and project coordination

·         Audit and monitor key systems

·         Developing IT policies and maintaining documentation

·         Managing IT procurement

·         Assist the CTO with budgeting, planning and onboarding of new service providers

·         Candidates must be technically adept and must be able to think strategically in order to plan, grow and add value to the business.

·         In addition, they must have excellent people skills and be able to work across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.

·         They must be able to lead a team and delegate, while also being a team player.

·         Take initiative.

·         Take ownership of the role, projects and infrastructure.

·         Have a strong aptitude for budgeting, risk management and project management.



Duties

Knowledge and experience with ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE 2, PMP, PMBOK

·         SLA and Vendor Management

·         Maintenance, support, licensing and installation of Windows Desktop and Server platforms, Microsoft Email Services, Office 365 -related products, Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and Project

·         IT Financial Planning, budgeting and cost tracking
