About this job
The primary responsibility of the Finance Business Partner is to support various business unit activities and influence performance through the responsible gathering of data and information to produce meaningful financial analysis, reports and management presentations. The role provides key support to the business in day to day decision making and identifying areas of improvement / value add. 

Duties
Key Responsibilities: ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the company’s product offerings and business areas and their respective financial levers ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate and provide recommendations for business development and enhancement opportunities ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Responsible for the accuracy and quality of output by establishing checks and balances ahead of submission ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ensure results (reports & presentations) are professionally and clearly communicated, highlighting key assumptions and potential risks to drive and support business decisions ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Partner closely with relevant stakeholders and all business functions, to provide support and apply specialist knowledge to challenge assumptions ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Influence strategic decision making through relevant financial analysis ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Contribute towards operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for improving data, systems and processes/procedures ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Support and drive automisation ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Take responsibility for the budget cycle for the relevant business areas ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage budget vs actuals on a month to month basis ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Take responsibility for monthly executive management meetings ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Manage and guide the Senior Finance Analyst assigned to designated Business area ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Drive continuous improvement and establish a foundation for career development ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Keep abreast of developments in analytical tools, techniques and industry standards/best practice Key Competencies: ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Business acumen and commercial awareness ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Solution-orientated with strong analytical and problem solving skills ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Expert attention to detail – high quality and accuracy of output ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Creative ability to design new reporting to drive business efficiencies ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ability to excel in a fast paced changing environment ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Strong communication skills and ability to interact at all levels ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ability to influence and persuade ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Team player with a make-it-possible attitude Minimum Requirements: ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Relevant Finance Degree or equivalent ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Professionally Qualified – CA(SA) or CIMA ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Advanced MS Excel user with exposure to Dynamics and Excel Insights tool ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Minimum of 5+ years financial reporting and business partnering experience ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Report writing and financial modelling experience ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Experience engaging with senior management ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  People management experience (preferred) ·Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Retail or Financial Services experience
