UNFORTUNATELY, THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED. Working from home (Gauteng or Cape Town) you will be required to travel nationally and internationally to client  sites as necessary.  A detailed understanding of the full credit life cycle, analytics and reportingis a prerequisite for this role.

The company comprises a highly agile team of decisioning, technical and business professionals who are  responsible for the development, sale and implementation of the company’s cloud based Decisioning Platform.

The team is located worldwide, and their focus is currently on servicing the South African financial services and telecommunications industries.

The Decisioning Platform is a unique decision management system, combining the established core decision engine with private cloud managed services, to provide a customised solution for the company’s clients in established and emerging markets.

 The Decisioning Platform is a SaaS (Software as a Service) based decision management system and is configured to cover the entire credit life cycle; from prospecting for new customers, managing new acquisitions, controlling existing accounts (collections) and maximising recoveries from write-offs.

Due to the company’s successful partnership with the XDS Credit Bureau and their focus on direct marketing, they are currently expanding their team in order to maintain the highest levels of service to their client base in South Africa.


Overview: As the Senior Marketing Consultant you will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and form part of the company’s Decisions Integration team, working alongside the development and technical integration teams to configure the Decision Platform Marketing Management Module solution for the company’s clients. You will manage multiple clients and provide best-practice consulting advice to maximise the returns of their champion/challenger marketing campaigns.

You will need to have experience in designing and executing Direct Marketing campaigns for various industries and products. You will also work closely with the analytics team to determine the optimal execution strategy for each client.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree concentrations in business, marketing, finance, engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with the creation of marketing collateral is advantageous, particularly for digital channels.
  • Detailed understanding of the full credit life cycle, analytics and reporting.
  • Good understanding of the analytical models used in marketing campaigns.
  • Past accomplishments must include the successful execution of marketing campaigns for various clients and products.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable interfacing with client senior management. 
  • Must have the proven ability to interact with all levels within an organisation, ranging from the most junior to the most senior, covering all aspects of technical and operational business.
  • Knowledge and experience with marketing tools.
  • Must be a self-starter with entrepreneurial approach to client interactions.

·         Requires domestic and international travel. 

  • Requires high levels of energy, resilience and ability to display creativity in developing solutions and codifying offerings.



Duties and Responsibilities

·    Attend client design meetings, where system functionality and marketing strategies will be discussed and the Decision Platform Marketing solutions will be tailored and configured to deliver to client requirements.

·         Perform the role of business consultant in the Decision Platform  client integrations, initial and ongoing consulting engagements.

·         Design and deliver champion/challenger marketing strategies in conjunction with the company’s analytics team.

·         Review ongoing marketing campaign results and derive improvements to the existing champion strategy.

·         Be the main contact for both business and analytical client queries.

·         Manage the client relationship and provide ongoing support to clients.

·         Act as the product owner for the company’s Decision Platform Marketing Management Module.

·         Participate in design and delivery of additional functionality.

·         Provide knowledge and support for the analytical and technical team’s queries.

·         Plan, organise and complete own workload to meet project commitments within agreed schedules.

·         Ensure quality and accuracy of all deliverables.

·         Be able to deliver the product presentations and product demonstrations to partners and prospects.

·         Provide sales support as and when required.

·         Create sales documents and presentations.

·         Create the relevant documentation in the form of user guides for the relevant stakeholders.

·         Deliver training and onsite consulting to Decision Platform Marketing clients.

·         Responsible for User Acceptance Testing of the configured solution, to ensure that it meets client requirements before delivery.

·         Able to travel and work both within South Africa and internationally, as required.

·         Have the ability and self-discipline to work from home in an unsupervised capacity.
