The company comprises a highly agile team of decisioning, technical and business professionals who are  responsible for the development, sale and implementation of the company’s cloud based Decisioning Platform. (DP)

The team is located worldwide, and their focus is currently on servicing the South African financial services and telecommunications industries. Working from home (Gauteng or Cape Town) you will be required to travel nationally and internationally to client  sites as necessary.

The DP is a unique decision management system, combining the established core decision engine with private cloud managed services, to provide a customised solution for the company’s clients in established and emerging markets.

 The DP is a SaaS (Software as a Service) based decision management system and is configured to cover the entire credit life cycle; from prospecting for new customers, managing new acquisitions, controlling existing accounts (collections) and maximising recoveries from write-offs.

Due to the company’s successes they are currently expanding their team in order to maintain the highest levels of service to their client base in South Africa.

 

Overview: As the Technical Solution Lead you will form part of the DP integration team, working alongside the business consultants to configure the integration of the DP solutions for the company’s clients. In this role you will manage end-to-end implementations for multiple clients.

You will  need to have experience in systems integration, specifically in soliciting and understanding client requirements, drafting technical designs and testing requirements, and ensuring that the integration work is completed to specification

Qualifications and Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the software development industry as a software engineer
  • Must be currently based in South Africa and have a valid work permit.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree concentrations in software engineering, information systems or related discipline.
  • Direct experience on the client side of business is essential.
  • Past accomplishments must include successful system development or integration projects.
  • Experience in solving complex information technology interoperability problems. Knowledge of hardware, software, and the networks that connect them.
  • Experience in all facets of an end-to-end integration project, including design, configuration and testing phases.
  • Understanding of system integration terminology patterns and experience with integration toolsets and languages essential.

·         Must be comfortable interfacing with client technical team members. Must have proven ability to interact with all levels within an organisation, from the most junior to the most senior, from all aspects of technical and operational business.

·         Experience with Agile methodologies and productivity tooling is advantageous.

·         Knowledge and experience with operational credit systems, from applications processing, account processing and collections.

·         Must be a self-starter with entrepreneurial approach to client interactions and display a patient, methodical approach to work activities.

·         Requires high levels of energy, resilience and ability to display creativity in developing solutions and codifying offerings.

·         Requires domestic and international travel



Duties

Responsibilities

·         Conduct client design workshops, where all aspects of the technical integration are explained and agreed with the client’s technical teams.

·         Attend client business meetings, where system functionality will be discussed, and the DP solution will be tailored and configured to deliver to client requirements.

·         Work closely with the Business Consultant, who will define the requirements and functionality for each client integration.

·         Responsible for the client implementations of the DP solution by release/phase in a structured manner.

·         Engage with client technical teams to understand the integration requirements between the DP and the various host systems, including: application processing, account processing and/or collections systems.

  • Manage multiple concurrent, complex, global, multi-phased implementations.
  • Work and collaborate with the Client Project Manager to prioritise the workload and agree the client SLA.
  • Liaise with client team members and the DP internal resources to affirm the understanding of the client requirements and ensure clear communications.
  • Responsible for managing the global template/baseline technical configuration development.

·         Develop work plans and estimates as they relate to systems integration work tasks and team members.

  • Help configure the DP at a global level, as well as specific features and functionality at a local level.
  • Display expertise on integration points, custom fields, formats or transfer mechanisms.
  • Provide 3rd party product integration support at all relevant touchpoints with the DP .
  • Perform issue identification, communications, and resolutions for moderately complex issues.
  • Communicate the client issues status and progress consistently and regularly, as per the schedule, to the project manager.

·         Oversee the development of testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations.

  • Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and detailed/step-by-step test scripts for UAT/SIT/CIT.
  • Verify data for testing activities and assemble and set-up data for testing activities.
  • After go-live, provide configuration-related hypercare support.
  • Work collaboratively with internal parties to administer the client side, meet/exceed productivity targets, achieve accuracy with projections, and foster high customer satisfaction scores to ensure value-added the DP services to our clients.
  • Ensure project implementations are within the defined timeframe of completion with status updates to the client team.
  • Facilitate the prioritisation of requirements and issue fixes after discussing with the client.

·         Contribute to discussions on system capabilities and integration requirements within the working team of both clients and colleagues.

·         Research, evaluate, and recommend systems, equipment and technologies, based on client needs.

·         Draft professional technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents for internal and external use.

·         Liaise with various team members, such as management, administration, legal, and support staff on a regular basis.

·         Provide feedback on changes and enhancements to the core software development team.

·         Extend technical support during preparation, installation and system maintenance.

  • Manage the Support Function (2nd/3rd line support).

·         Have the ability and self-discipline to work from home in an unsupervised capacity.

·         Able to travel and work both within South Africa and internationally, as required
